Dubai’s Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management has announced a range of precautionary measures for citizens and residents for New Year's celebrations at a meeting.
The meeting was chaired by His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai’s Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management.
These precautionary measures have been set in order to curb the spread of COVID-19 and to ensure the public's safety.
Private gatherings of families and friends of more than 30 people are strictly prohibited.
Attendees should adhere to social distancing at parties and make sure they are wearing their face masks at all times.
People with chronic illness and elderly people are advised to avoid any gatherings, to ensure their well being and safety.
If you are feeling ill, with any symptoms of fever or cold, make sure to stay at home and avoid meeting people.
If there are more than 30 people present at the gathering, the host will be fined Dhs 50,000 while tall the attendees will be fined Dhs 15,000 each.
