The Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine has been approved for use in Dubai and the first batch of the vaccine arrived in the UAE on Tuesday evening.
Dubai Health Authority (DHA) in coordination with Dubai's Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management, and the COVID-19 Command and Control Centre, began the COVID-19 vaccination 'Pfizer- BioNTech' campaign.
The first batch of vaccines will prioritise people from four categories which include Emirati and residents aged 60 years and over, people with chronic diseases, people of determination, frontline workers and vital-sector workers.
Currently, the centres authorised to provide COVID-19 vaccines are:
Al Barsha Health Center
Hatta Hospital
Za'abeel Health Center
Al Mizhar Health Center
Uptown Mirdif Medical Center
Nad Al Hamar Health Center
