The Winter Break for the year 2020 has been announced by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) in Dubai.
The Winter Break for children from private schools starts from 13 December 2020 and schools reopen on 3 January 2021, after a three week break.
Due to the global pandemic, schools closed down in March and switched from in-person learning to online classes.
Although since the summer break, parents with the help of blended learning, had the option to either send their child to school or continue classes online.
Students that attended their classes in person were socially distanced and all the protocols to ensure that they are safe have been taken.
Public school teachers will go on Winter Break from 20 December 2020 and will resume classes from 3 January 2021.
Some private school teachers will go on Winter break along with their students from 13 December 2020 to 3 January 2021.
