The 40th Edition of GITEX Technology week will officially open its doors to the public and will be the biggest event to occur since the beginning of the pandemic.
GITEX will be held from 6 December 2020 to 10 December 2020. The event will be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre and will resume in-person interaction.
Due to Covid-19, multiple events this year had to be either cancelled or conducted virtually, to ensure the public’s safety as well as to follow the set guidelines.
GITEX Technology Week will host over 1,200 exhibitors, including over 300 start-ups from over 60 countries with an agenda packed with seminars, workshops, and displays.
This year’s programme focuses on five promising trends that are set to make a significant impact in the near future, namely: 5G, Artificial Intelligence and Augmented Analytics, Future Mobility, Digital Economies, Cybersecurity and Resilience, and Cloud & Edge Computing.
The conference will host pavilions from the World’s most technologically forward nations and will also see a conference line up of about 350 technology experts.
GITEX Future Stars will showcase over 300 startups from around 60 countries battling it out over 19 industry sectors to highlight how these startups adapted to the challenges brought by the coronavirus pandemic. The event will be held from 6 December to 9 December 2020.
Smart Dubai has opened a pavilion with the theme ‘Inspiring New Realities’ and is said to be the only global tech show in 2020 that will be held live and in person. As this year’s event coincides with Smart Dubai’s 5th anniversary, the display will highlight the progress it has made in its mission to transform Dubai into the world’s smartest and happiest city.
