The General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs in Dubai (GDRFA) has confirmed that smart gates at Dubai International Airport (DXB) Terminal 3 have been reactivated.
Reactivating the smart gates allows departing passengers to use their passport to get through departures quicker.
Passengers are not required to register to use the smart gates and they are not only accessible to residents.
Emirates ID cards though cannot be used.
