Passengers flying out of the UAE on flights operated by Etihad Airways are required to present a negative coronavirus COVID-19 test before boarding.
Previously a negative coronavirus COVID-19 test was only needed for Etihad flights to Switzerland, the United Kingdom or any other country within the European Union.
The new requirement comes into effect from 16 August and the test must be taken no more than 96 hours from departure time. For China, the test results must be within 96 hours of departure.
Etihad is currently scheduled to operate 61 routes through August and September, including 15 routes to the Indian subcontinent, 19 to Europe, 11 to Asia and Australasia, 12 within the Middle East and Africa, and 4 to the USA.
