A one month grace period has been announced for visit visa holders with visit visas that expired after 1 March 2020.
Initially those with expired visit visas that expired after 1 March 2020 had until 10 August to leave the UAE without facing any overstay fines, however in a tweet the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) announced a one month extension from 11 August, in which time people can leave the UAE without facing any fines.
Overstay fines are Dhs 200 for the first day then a further Dhs 100 for each day after that.
