A new low cost carrier that is scheduled to start operations in October this year from Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH), Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, has announced the first 6 routes it will operate.
The new airline, a joint venture between the Abu Dhabi State holding company ADQ and the established Hungarian low cost carrier Wizz Air, will base 2 brand new Airbus A321neo planes at AUH to serve the six routes announced.
At launch at the start of October, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi will operate flights between Alexandria, Athens, Kutaisi, Odesa, Larnaka, Odesa, and Yerevan.
The airline has already announced a further 4 Airbus A321neo planes will be added to the fleet in the first six months to serve further routes which wil be announced at a later date.

Wizz Air Abu Dhabi is the sixth national airline to be based in the UAE following Emirates, Etihad, Air Arabia, flydubai and Air Arabia Abu Dhabi which starts flying today (14 July).
