Low Cost Airline Starts Flying From UAE

The new low cost airline will launch its inaugural flight from Abu Dhabi next week. The newest airline and the UAE's fifth carrier, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi, was announced last year is a joint venture between Sharjah based Air Arabia and Abu Dhabi based Etihad.

The inaugural flight will leave Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH) at 3pm on 14 July heading for Borg Al Arab International Airport (HBE) in Alexandria, Egypt. That route will operate 3 times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, arriving in Alexandria at 4.55pm local time and departing from Alexandria at 5.35pm local time arriving in Abu Dhabi at 10.25pm local time.

The second route in the schedule will depart from AUH at 2.20pm on Wednesday 15 Juy bound for Sohag International Airport (HMB) in Egypt, arriving at 4pm local time and leaving again at 4.40pm local time and returning to Abu Dhabi at 10.10pm. This route will operate weekly each Wednesday.

Air Arabia Abu Dhabi will operate Airbus A320 which will be based at AUH, and is expected to add more routes to its schedule over coming weeks.
