The Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management in Dubai, headed by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has announced that from Wednesday 3 June, shopping malls and private sector companies can operate at 100 per cent capacity.
Mall opening hours and working hours of private businesses should be within the times of when movements are not restricted, which at the moment are from 6am to 11pm, and malls can decide what times they are open between these hours.
The announcement is a further move towards opening economic activities in Dubai.
At shopping malls and private company offices, precautionary measures to protect the safety of employees, mall customers and visitors will be enforced.
Some of the precautionary safety measures include temperature checks of employees, mall customers and visitors, and in the case of private businesses, the number of employees allowed in the pantry are to be restricted and all mandatory guidelines outlined by health authorities are to be followed. A separate isolation room for suspected cases should be made available.
Wearing face masks is still mandatory and maintaining a minimum distance of two metres from others, using hand sanitisers and regularly washing hands with soap and water for 20 seconds should be followed.
Mandatory requirements for malls includes regularly sterilising all facilities including common areas, providing sanitisers at the entrances and throughout the malls, and temperature checking at the entrances. Malls also have to make a separate isolation room available for suspected cases.
