A set of guidelines have been announced confirming the requirements for wearing a mask in public areas and when outside of the house, for different age groups.
Not wearing a face mask in public areas is still mandatory, and any violations face a hs 3,000 fine.
As per the guidelines, these groups are exempt for wearing a mask:
- Children under the age of 6
- People of determination with cognitive, intellectual or sensory disorders that hamper ability to breathe or communicate, and who have an official medical document
- Individuals who require supplemental oxygen or have severe respiratory conditions, and who have an official medical document
There are also guidelines on situations where a mask can be removed which includes:
- Driving alone or with members of the same family
- Eating or drinking within indoor and outdoor settings
- Engaging in strenuous exercise
- Being alone in the office when not surrounded by others
- Swimming or skydiving
- Undergoing specific medical treatments
