More than 1.3 million meals were distributed to low-income workers as part of the '10 Million Meals' initiative during the first week of Ramadan.

The initiative was launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Prime Minister and Vice President of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, to help people who relied on mosques for food during Ramadan.

According to statistics revealed, an average of 300,000 meals were delivered each day. Each meal consists of a serving of rice, chicken, three dates, a piece of fruit, a 500ml bottle of water, and a carton of Laban Up.

The campaign is the wife of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed, Her Highness Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of UAE Food Bank, and is overseen by Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives.
