A new online scam has surfaced where hackers are allegedly hacking iOS Mail application to get access to a users phone, its controls and the sensitive data in contains.
Taking quick action on it, the Abu Dhabi Digital Authority issues an advisory warning for all Apple and Ipad users to delete the pre-installed app.
The authority tweeted, “Warning. Be careful of the new announced high risk vulnerabilities in Mail application used in iPhone and iPad which poses a risk on information’s sensitivity. #StaySafe. Delete your email from the application. Use alternative mail applications until the security vulnerabilities are closed."
Apple said in a statement that they don’t believe users are at immediate risk and were working to fix the issue.
