After two consecutive days of no new recorded coronavirus COVID-19 cases, The Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management has announced the easing of movement restrictions in the Naif and Al Ras areas of Dubai.
The committee headed by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has eased the restrictions to follow what is currently applicable throughout Dubai, which now allows for movement between 6am and 10pm, and restrictions apply between 10pm and 6am.
According to the committee, no new coronavirus COVID-19 cases were recorded over two days in these two densely populated and commercially active areas.
A programme of intensive measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus COVID-19 was implemented over the past month which included sterilisation and extensive medical tests, carried out by Dubai Health Authority where more than 6,000 tests were conducted among residents in less than a month. To support the community during the restricted period, essential supplies were provided to residents by volunteers.
