United Arab Emirates landmarks lit up to display the flag of Switzerland, as a mark of appreciation to the Swiss Government, who displayed the UAE flag on Matterhorn Mountain, in the Alps that crosses Switzerland and Italy.
As a sign of solidarity during the global coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic, the 4,478 Matterhorn Mountain has been displaying flags of different nations on its face, including recently the UAE flag on Friday 17 April.
Landmarks across the UAE lit up, included the world's tallest building the Burj Khalifa, which displayed the Swiss flag on Sunday 19 April evening. ? Many other landmarks throughout the country have been lit up or will be lit up over coming days including Emirates Palace and Sheikh Zayed Bridge in Abu Dhabi.
