As a further precautionary measure to control the spread of coronavirus COVID-19, the UAE government has recommended that everyone should wear face masks on the occasions that they have to go out. Spokesperson for the UAE health sector, Dr Farida Al Hosani, announced that all the UAE community should wear face masks regardless of whether they have and cold of flu symptoms.
Dr Al Hosani said, “As the situation evolves and more studies on preventive measures are coming out, experts recommend everyone who leaves the house, for absolute necessities, should wear a mask. Such a practice could decrease virus transmission and protect others in community.”
The measures also comes into effect as there have been some positive cases of coronavirus COVID-19 where no symptoms were apparent, however the virus was still passed to others.
