His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council is asking everyone to donate a day of their lives to volunteer to support the nation.
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan has launched a new volunteering campaign ‘Your City Needs You’, through the Day for Dubai app with an aim of getting UAE residents and citizens help tackle coronavirus in the country.
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan said, “My message to everyone is to volunteer to join the dedicated teams that are working around-the-clock to protect our community. This is part of our social responsibility and our duty to help safeguard the welfare of society. Our aim is to ensure the highest levels of protection against the global pandemic we are facing and support the government’s efforts to combat it. This is a great opportunity to show our unity and our love for our city”.
All you need to do is download the app, and volunteer for the opportunities matching your skill sets. Volunteer categories include emergency and safety, health, community support, elderly, children and youth, people of determination, education, mentoring and many others. Opportunities will be posted on the app as and when the situation arises.
Registration takes one to three days and it does not cost a dime.
