In a string of new measures taken to prevent the spread of COVID-19, Dubai has ordered all eateries in the emirate to temporarily close for two weeks, however, deliveries are exempt from this. People can order food to be delivered to their home but dining-in has been suspended as a preventive measure to reduce the social contact and restrict people from going out.
Cafes and restaurants in hotels and hotel apartments serving guests only are also exempt and allowed ot stay open.
In other measures introduced, authorities urge everyone to use their own cars with a maximum of three individuals per vehicle and everyone should maintain social distancing protocols during family gatherings.
Visiting hospitals is advised only for critical or emergency cases.
