Dubai Municipality has begun to disinfect streets and roads around Dubai to contain the spread of COVID-19. The programme began on Friday, 21 March and will run for 11 continuous days.
The campaign will see at least 95 major roads thoroughly disinfected. Residents have been asked to stay indoors as the disinfection process takes place on the roads.
"The Municipality calls upon the general public not to gather at work sites during disinfection operations, to allow the specialised work team to carry out its tasks in the interest of public safety," Dubai Municipality said in a statement.
