According to the Saudi Press Agency, the country has suspended Umrah for its residents and citizens as a precautionary measure against the spread of coronavirus.
Last week, the country had temporarily suspended the entry for the pilgrimage for anyone coming from countries where the virus is a threat.
The state news agency released a statement saying, "The move is part of the country's effort to support the international community and organisations such as the World Health Organisation to halt the spread of the virus. The decision also includes the suspension of Saudi and GCC citizens from entering and leaving the country."
