Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) is back for a third year and kicks off this weekend for 30 days of activity and exercises to make Dubai the most active city in the world. There is a lot going on and lots of things for everyone to get involved with and get everyone to complete 30 minutes of activities a day for 30 days.
DFC is bigger than ever this year and includes more great new features. There are dedicated Fitness Villages at spots like Kite Beach in Jumeriah and Dubai Festival City that are open daily and run various activities, classes and programmes for everyone to take part.
The Fitness Village at Kite Beach will have ten different zones dedicated to outdoor activities. Open from 7am each day of DFC, you can take part in activities ranging from basketball, martial arts of even water based activates like paddle boarding and canoeing, Kite Beach also features a purpose built obstacle course for adults and kids who want to practice and prepare for Tough Mudder and Mini Mudder.
Dubai Festival City’s Fitness Village features seven different zones all with exciting challenges, whether you want to try out VR Cricket or really get your sweat on and take part in intense CrossFit sessions led by experts. The Fitness Village includes regular sunset yoga sessions and Zumba classes to make your fitness fun whatever day you go.
There’s more going on throughout the city at the various fitness hubs set up and 40 different mega events that are taking place, not forgetting the special workout session with fitness star, The Body Coach himself, Joe Wicks on 26 October. The special session at Skydive Dubai will see a high intensity interval training (HIIT) class led by Joe Wicks, attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the largest 30 minute long HIIT class. It is free to attend but you would need to register here if you want to be part of this world record attempt.
