His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, attended the wedding reception held to mark the wedding of Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan to his daughter Sheikha Maryan bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
The wedding reception held at the Dubai World Trade Centre, was also attended by dignitaries and rulers of other Emirates including His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Um Al Quwain and His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah.
The couple announced their engagement last year on 24 August and just over a week ago, social media shared news that they had signed their marriage contract.
Sheikh Khaled is a member of the Abu Dhabi Royal Family. He graduated from the British Royal Academy Sandhurst in the UK and was awarded the Major General Diwan Misri Chand Platoon Award for demonstrating outstanding innovation and purpose during the training course.
