Sheikha Maryam bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, daughter of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, married Sheikh Khaled bin Mohammad bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, a member of the Abu Dhabi Royal Family on Thursday.
Congratulations for the newly wedded couple started to pour on Royal Family members' social media accounts on Friday morning.
Royal Family member with Instagram account @mamanooora, posted the photo of Sheikha Maryam bint Mohammed as a child and wrote "Congratulations my dear girl Sheikha Mariam bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.”
The news of couple’s engagement last year on August 24 made headlines after Royal Family members congratulated them on their social media accounts.
Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum had taken to Instagram to congratulate the couple. Her post said, “May the rest of your lives be filled with love, joy & happiness."
Sheikh Khaled is a member of the Abu Dhabi Royal Family. He graduated from the British Royal Academy Sandhurst in the UK and was awarded the Major General Diwan Misri Chand Platoon Award for demonstrating outstanding innovation and purpose during the training course.
