The UAE government has announced that the private and public sectors will receive an equal number of holidays for the years 2019-2020.
A tweet from the government communications agency- WAM read, “The UAE Cabinet approves public holidays for the public sector for the years 2019-2020, and grants the private sector equal holidays. The decree aims at achieving a balance between the two sectors and supporting the national economy.”
The government has approved one day off for Ramadan and one day for Shawwal during Eid Al Fitr, four days off for Eid Al Adha, one for Hijri New Year, one for Commemoration Day and two for UAE National Day.
