Two British tourists were rescued by a helicopter after their quad bikes caught fire.
The pair were enjoying a ride in the Sharjah desert of Al Badair when their afternoon came to an abrupt and terrifying halt.
The Air Wing Operations Room received a notification from the National Medical Ambulance crew who were already at the scene.
“The air wing arrived at the scene to help provide first aid to the injured, and the two British nationals who received burns were transferred to Al Qasimi Hospital in Sharjah quickly,” Colonel pilot Salim Khalifa Al Suwaidi, Deputy Director of the Air Wing Department at the MoI said.
The Ministry of Interior caught the moment of rescue on video.
