On Thursday, 9 April, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, called on citizens and residents across the country to raise the UAE flag in a public display of loyalty to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE.
Following His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid’s call, the response was quick to appear across the country, including on the roads.
One moment that stood out was shared in a video by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai.
The video showed a talabat rider carrying the UAE flag while out on delivery, a simple but striking scene that captured the spirit of pride and unity across the country.
The moment also comes as talabat distributed UAE flags to its riders, adding a patriotic touch to their daily routes. What might seem like a small gesture has turned everyday deliveries into moving symbols of community spirit.
It is also a reminder of how closely talabat riders are connected to the neighbourhoods they serve.
