Residents in Dubai and Abu Dhabi can expect a mixed weather week, with a breezy and dusty start followed by a chance of rain later in the week.

According to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), on Monday, 6 April, the weather will be cloudy at times with a drop in temperatures. In Dubai and Abu Dhabi temperatures are forecast to reach a high of 30°C and a low of 22°C. That means outdoor plans can still work, especially later in the day, but exposed terraces and waterfront spots may feel too breezy for comfort.

Moving ahead, Tuesday, 7 April is expected to be partly cloudy, but winds will remain strong, with blowing dust and sand reducing visibility. Dubai is forecast to see a high of 29°C and a low of 20°C, while Abu Dhabi is expected to record 29°C and 21°C. This is not the best day for a beach trip. Short outdoor plans are still possible, but indoor venues or sheltered evening settings would be the safer choice.

Similar conditions are expected on Wednesday, 8 April. In Dubai, temperatures are forecast at 28°C during the day and 20°C at night. Abu Dhabi is expected to see a high of 29°C and a low of 20°C. Outdoor plans can work, especially later in the day, but this is still a day to choose venues with some cover rather than fully open spaces.

Thursday, 9 April, brings cloudy skies, with the probability of rainfall over some areas. Winds are expected to ease slightly compared with the start of the week. Dubai is forecast to reach 31°C with a low of 23°C, while Abu Dhabi is expected to see 32°C and 23°C.

Friday, 10 April, could be the calmest day from a wind and sea perspective, but not necessarily the driest. The NCM says there is still a probability of rainfall. Dubai is expected to see a high of 32°C and a low of 24°C, while Abu Dhabi is forecast at 32°C and 23°C.
