The UAE SWAT Challenge has confirmed full organisational and field readiness for the seventh edition of the global competition, scheduled to take place from 7 to 11 February 2026 at Al Ruwayyah Training City in Dubai.

Training sessions are being conducted at the dedicated training city in Al Ruwayyah, Dubai, as teams gear up for the championship organised by Dubai Police.

The international competition has drawn teams from Dubai Police, Abu Dhabi Police, Ajman Police, and more than 25 countries, including the United States, Argentina, China, Pakistan, Jordan, Qatar, Serbia, Romania, Thailand, Indonesia, and several others.

The draw to determine the participation order is scheduled for today at the Officers Club in the Al Jaddaf area and will be attended by leaders of tactical teams from various countries, officials, judges, and experts involved in the challenge.

Teams are currently honing their training for five key events; Hostage Rescue, Assault Challenge, Officer Rescue, Tower Challenge and Obstacle Course. Each event requires teams to complete it in the shortest possible time to earn the highest points. In addition, teams must also showcase accuracy in hitting targets, using multiple weapons, carrying heavy dummies, navigating difficult obstacles, and descending from the top of the tower using ropes, among other tasks.

The total prize pool for the 2026 edition stands at USD 260,000, confirming the UAE SWAT Challenge as the largest and most prestigious competition in the world.

The UAE SWAT Challenge is open to the public, giving spectators a chance to witness world-class tactical performances and support teams throughout the five-day competition. Those who wish to watch the event can get the free visitor pass from the website.

All events will also be broadcast live daily via Dubai Sports Channel, Emirates Channel, and the official digital platforms of the challenge, in addition to coverage by international media delegations accompanying participating teams.
