The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MoHESR) has announced a new initiative that allows students from 34 UAE-based universities and colleges to get their educational qualifications recognised automatically.

Under this initiative, graduates of these universities will no longer need to undergo separate recognition processes for their qualifications, thereby enhancing the overall efficiency of the higher education system. The measure aims to facilitate a smoother transition for graduates into further studies by ensuring that their credentials are instantly validated for official use.

More than 25,000 graduates have already benefited from the automatic recognition of their degrees, with the initiative set to expand further to cover Emirati students studying abroad.

The ministry emphasises that the project also helps graduates comply more easily with government, residency, and visa regulations, thereby improving their readiness for the next phase of their careers.

Ahmad Yousuf Al Nasser, Acting Assistant Under-Secretary for Higher Education Operations Sector at MoHESR, said, "Linking 34 universities in the first phase of the automatic recognition initiative reflects the Ministry’s commitment to strengthening the national recognition system through efficient, flexible services that support students."

The initiative uses a QR-code verification system that confirms qualifications issued by accredited UAE institutions, while the Ministry also provides digital tools to verify degrees earned abroad, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and easy access for authorities.
