With high numbers of departures and arrivals expected from 2 to 5 January 2026, Emirates strongly recommends that customers arrive at Dubai International Airport (DXB) 4 hours ahead of departure, preparing for the likelihood of additional traffic on the way to the airport, busier car parks, and a bustling airport.
The airline also rolled out recommendations for the busy travel week ahead:
- Take advantage of remote check-in options
- Book the Emirates’ Home Check-In services in Dubai and Sharjah
- Use public transport options such as Dubai Metro to and from the airport to avoid road congestion.
- Arrive at DXB 4 hours before your flight departure
