It's New Year's Eve, and the UAE has a whole lot happening!

With all the daily weather fluctuations, if you're wondering what New Year's Eve is going to be like, here's everything you need to know.

The general conditions during the day will be fair to partly cloudy skies across the UAE. Low clouds may drift over coastal and some inland areas. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) does not currently predict significant rain, so most outdoor festivities should not be dampened by showers.

As you’re planning to join the outdoor celebrations, here’s what the weather will look like, according to the NCM:

Temperatures

Daytime:

  • Dubai: 22°C - 24°C
  • Abu Dhabi: 21°C - 23°C
  • Sharjah / Ajman: Mid 20s°C.
  • Ras Al Khaimah: Mid 20s°C.

Tonight:

  • Dubai And Abu Dhabi: 15°C -17°C, noticeably cooler after sunset, so a light jacket or hoodie will help.
  • Northern and internal areas including Hatta and desert regions), around 10°C - 12°C. Wrap up warm if you’re camping, watching fireworks outdoors, or heading up to the mountains.

Winds And Dust

  • Windy conditions are expected, with moderate to fresh north-westerly winds, gusting in places.
  • Dust and sand blown by these winds could reduce visibility, especially on highways and open areas. Be cautious if you’re driving between cities tonight.

Rain Chances

  • Rain is not widely forecast for New Year’s Eve across the main populated areas; most forecasts show dry conditions.
  • Light cloudiness might appear, but nothing to significantly impact outdoor fireworks plans.

Overall, you can expect the weather to be chill, windy,  but mostly dry. Great conditions overall for outdoor New Year fireworks and celebrations!
