Dubai authorities have confirmed that several key roads around JBR will be shut to traffic on New Year’s Eve to help manage crowds and ensure safety during the celebrations. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has revealed that the Jumeirah Beach Residences area in Dubai will be closed to traffic and designated exclusively for pedestrians from 4pm on Wednesday, 31 December.
Traffic from Al Marsa Street, Al Naseem Street, and near Cayan Tower, will be permitted restricted access. Only taxis will be allowed on King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Street throughout the celebrations.
Furthermore, e-hail cabs, such as Careem and Uber, plus limousines, will not be allowed to access King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Street between 11pm and 1am on 31 December.
