Ahead of the New Year celebrations, Dubai Police are inviting community members to volunteer to support police operations. More than 1,100 volunteers have signed up to support police teams across seven specialised roles, all designed to help keep New Year celebrations safe, well-organised and enjoyable for everyone.

The initiative underscores Dubai Police’s continued commitment to community partnership and shared responsibility. By actively engaging the public in event coordination and safety measures, it also reinforces Dubai’s image as a well-prepared, inclusive, and internationally respected destination for major celebrations.

Volunteers can participate in seven distinct roles, designed to suit a variety of skills and interests. These roles include bicycle patrol units, cavalry teams supporting mounted police, and positive spirit teams that interact with and assist the public.

Additional support is required in Hatta, as well as in photography, remote administrative positions, and general volunteering roles focused on crowd control and guest services.

According to Dubai Police, the strong level of interest highlights the community’s eagerness to play a part in the success of one of the city’s largest annual celebrations.

Applications close on Sunday, December 28. Selected volunteers will report for duty on Wednesday, 31 December, at 5.00pm across various celebration locations. Applications can be submitted through the Dubai Police Volunteering Portal.
