Love stargazing? Here's something you'll really  love! A cold moon will be visible in Dubai on Friday, 5 December. The supermoon or the cold moon becomes visible when the moon reaches the closest point to the Earth. Originally known as the Yule moon, the cold moon would earlier appear during the three-day winter solstice festival called the Yule Festival.

The Cold Moon, or the 12th and final full moon of 2025, will be visible at Dubai’s Meydan Racecourse. The moon will rise directly over the iconic Meydan grandstand at approximately 5.48pm, offering a dramatic spectacle for everyone. According to Dubai Racing Club (DRC), this is the first time a celestial event will happen at the racecourse.

That said, you can spot the cold moon at various places in Dubai. These include Al Barsha Pond Park,
Al Qudra Lakes, Hatta, Jebel Ali Beach, and Kite Beach.

This is your last chance to witness the lunar magic this year, so plan ahead!
