A 450-Year-Old UK School Is Set To Open In Dubai

A 450-year-old British school is set to open a campus in Dubai in the 2026-27 academic year. True to its name, the historic Rugby School is also the birthplace of the famous sport, rugby.

The premium school, in partnership with Abu Dhabi-based Aldar Education, will be located in Nad Al Sheba and is expected to welcome pupils in time for the 2026-27 academic year. The school will have more than 90 classrooms, dedicated learning spaces for nursery, primary, and secondary education, as well as flexible open-plan learning spaces.

The Rugby School Dubai will offer the British curriculum, educating children from early years foundation stage through to sixth form.

The school will boast a state-of-the-art campus, well-equipped with science and technology labs, a 400-seat auditorium, extensive sports grounds, swimming pools, and dedicated spaces for arts, inclusion, dining, and student wellbeing. In addition, Henry Price has been named Executive Principal to supervise this collaboration and the establishment of Rugby School Dubai.
