The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MoHESR) has shut down a training centre in one of the emirates after discovering it was operating without proper licences and offering unaccredited educational programmes.
Following inspections, MoHESR teams found several violations, including enroling students without approval, promoting unlicensed courses, and operating an unapproved nursery. MoHESR has imposed fines on the centre, suspended its operations, and referred its managers to the Public Prosecution. Authorities will also block the centre’s online platforms used for promotion. The location and other details of the centre has not been disclosed.
Officials stressed that such measures are part of ongoing efforts to protect students and families from fraudulent or poor-quality educational services and to maintain confidence in the UAE’s education system.
MoHESR urged parents and students to verify the licence and accreditation of any educational or training institution before enroling. Verification can be done through the Ministry’s official website, or by calling the Customer Happiness Centre at 800511.
