His Excellency Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the UAE National Media Office, the UAE Media Council, and BRIDGE, held a high-level meeting with Elon Musk, CEO of X, SpaceX, Tesla, and Starlink, at Tesla’s headquarters in Palo Alto, California.
The discussions focused on the future of artificial intelligence (AI), data centres, robotics, and media innovation, as both sides explored opportunities for collaboration. His Excellency Al Hamed formally invited Musk to attend the inaugural BRIDGE Summit, the world’s largest debut media event, scheduled for 8 to 10 December in Abu Dhabi.
Musk highlighted the importance of abundant, clean, and affordable energy to power future innovation, commending the UAE’s advanced capabilities and leadership in this field, while also praising the nation’s forward-looking AI strategies and the work of institutions such as Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence.
The meeting also covered opportunities for partnerships between Musk’s companies and UAE entities in AI innovation labs, educational content development, green technologies, and satellite communications. Musk further shared insights into his upcoming AI centre, expected to launch later this year, which he believes will reshape the digital future.
