Dubai Press Club / Social Media

Dubai Press Club has announced the launch of submissions for the tenth edition of the 'Ibda’a Arab Youth Media Award', one of the region’s most prominent platforms for recognising and nurturing young media talent.

Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Media Council, the award provides Arab media students, both in the region and abroad, with an opportunity to showcase their creativity across traditional and digital formats.

Categories this year include Photography, Podcasting, News Reports, E-Games, Multimedia, and Short Video, with each winner receiving a prize of USD 5,000.

Maryam Al Mulla, Director of the Dubai Press Club, described the initiative as a launchpad for aspiring media professionals, noting that it connects students with leading media organisations and opens doors to new career opportunities.

Submissions are open until 16 February, 2026 and can be made directly by students or through universities, with endorsement from their academic institution. All entries must be original, comply with competition rules, and can be submitted in Arabic or English. For more details and for submissions, visit Dubai Press Club's website.

The winners will be announced at the Arab Youth Media Forum, an annual event that gathers industry leaders and rising talent to discuss the future of media in the region.
