Emirates Suspends Several Flights Due To Super Typhoon Rasaga

Travel plans for many passengers have been disrupted after Emirates Airline announced the cancellation of several routes between Dubai and East Asia this week due to Super Typhoon Ragasa, one of the strongest typhoons of the season sweeping across East Asia.

The airline confirmed that flights between Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Hong Kong, as well as Shenzhen, will not operate on 23, 24 and 25 September. Additionally, travellers connecting through DXB with final destinations in Hong Kong or Shenzhen will also not be accepted for boarding at their original departure points until further notice.

The flights that have been affected, including both outbound and return services, include: 

  • EK382: 23 September, from Dubai to Hong Kong
  • EK383: 23 September, from Hong Kong to Dubai
  • EK328: 23 September, from Dubai to Shenzhen
  • EK329: 23 September from Shenzhen to Dubai
  • EK380: 23 September, from Dubai to Hong Kong
  • EK382: 24 September, from Dubai to Hong Kong
  • EK383: 24 September, from Hong Kong to Dubai
  • EK381: 24 September, from Hong Kong to Dubai
  • EK380: 24 September, from Dubai to Hong Kong
  • EK381: 25 September, from Hong Kong to Dubai

Additionally, shuttle services between Hong Kong and Bangkok on 23 and 24 September have also been suspended, according to the airline's latest travel update.

Passengers impacted by the cancellations are urged to contact their booking agents or reach out directly to Emirates for rebooking options. The airline also advises travellers to ensure that their contact information is correct via the Manage Your Booking section on its website to stay informed on the latest developments.
