Dubai has celebrated its brightest young minds as His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai, honoured outstanding Emirati high school graduates and scholarship recipients at a special ceremony.
The event marked the orientation of the second cohort of the Hamdan bin Mohammed Scholarship Programme, launched in 2024 to support exceptional Emirati students at the world’s top universities. This year, 413 applied, with recipients set to study fields such as health sciences, engineering, information technology, law, and business at leading institutions across the UAE and abroad.
His Highness Sheikh Ahmed praised the students and stated, “Our top achievers are the leaders of tomorrow, carrying forward Dubai’s inspiring journey with aspirations that know no limits. We encourage them to continue their pursuit of knowledge and lifelong learning to help build a brighter future for our nation".
The ceremony honoured 40 top-performing high school graduates from across public and private schools, reflecting the emirate’s commitment to education as a cornerstone of development. Additionally, the event celebrated the 2025 graduating class of the Ruler’s Court Higher Education Scholarship, which awards outstanding Emirati high school graduates and covers various academic disciplines at leading national and international universities.
These scholarships cover tuition, living costs, and travel, while ensuring the next generation gains world-class knowledge to shape Dubai’s future.
