Abu Dhabi Police have carried out a major anti-drug operation, confiscating 377kg of crystal meth and arresting three members of a gang. The drugs were concealed inside oil cans used for sewing machines in an attempt to smuggle them undetected.
The successful operation was conducted in coordination with the National Anti-Narcotics Authority. Brigadier Taher Ghareeb Al Dhaheri, Director of the Anti-Narcotics Directorate at the Criminal Security Sector of Abu Dhabi Police, praised the professionalism and expertise of the officers involved, crediting their vigilance and the support of national leadership for the bust.
Brigadier Al Dhaheri also warned the public against misleading claims about drug use, stressing its severe impact on health, families and society and urged community members to play a role in protecting their neighbourhoods by reporting suspicious activity through the Aman hotline at 8002626.
