RTA Calls On School Bus Operators To Ensure Safety

RTA / X

With the new academic year about to begin on 25 August, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has called on school bus operators to prioritise student safety. The move comes as thousands of students prepare to return to school after the summer break.

RTA emphasised that safe and comfortable transport is a top priority for parents and the leadership alike. To achieve this, RTA reaffirmed health and safety standards for bus operators and schools, stressing compliance with all regulations and requirements. Special inspection campaigns are being conducted to ensure buses meet safety and comfort standards for students, supervisors and drivers.

Bus operators have been instructed to provide intensive training to drivers and supervisors, equipping them to manage student journeys responsibly.

Officials also reminded students to follow supervisors’ instructions when boarding or alighting buses, ensuring they reach their homes safely. At the same time, RTA also praised the bus operators and school administrations for their efforts, noting their ongoing work to equip buses with safety technologies and maintain close communication with parents.
