On the occasion of World Youth Skills Day, observed annually on 15 July, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, delivered a message reaffirming the nation’s deep commitment to youth empowerment and future skills development.
World Youth Skills Day was established by the United Nations in 2014 to highlight the importance of empowering young people with the skills necessary for employment, entrepreneurship, and meaningful participation in society.
Taking to social media, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed stated, “On World Youth Skills Day, we renew our commitment to equipping the UAE’s young people with the skills that will define the future. In an age of AI and digital transformation, we remain focused on empowering our youth to lead, create, and contribute to the continued progress of our nation and the world”.
The message reflects the UAE’s ongoing investment in preparing its younger generations to thrive in a rapidly evolving global landscape. From national educational reforms to innovation-driven programmes, the country continues to support youth through a wide range of initiatives that develop leadership, creativity, and resilience.
