Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced a temporary traffic diversion near Dubai Marina and Dubai Harbour. The diversion is part of ongoing bridge construction works leading to Dubai Harbour and will remain in place until the project is complete.
The closure affects motorists travelling from the marina area towards Jumeirah and Dubai Harbour, with sections of King Salman Street, including main roads and left turns, temporarily closed.
To maintain traffic flow, vehicles will be rerouted through Al Marsa Street, followed by Al Khayay Street and Al Naseem Street, before reconnecting with King Salman Street. Drivers are advised to follow posted traffic signs and allow extra travel time.
The RTA has called on motorists to plan their routes in advance and leave earlier than usual to avoid delays, especially during peak hours.
For residents and commuters in Dubai Marina, JBR, and Dubai Harbour areas, the detour may cause slight disruptions, but it supports a key infrastructure project aimed at enhancing long-term connectivity and easing congestion in one of Dubai’s busiest waterfront districts.
