In a major push to strengthen the UAE’s growing space economy, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, has met with leading UAE-based space startups to support innovation, investment, and public-private collaboration across key technologies like AI, robotics, Earth observation, interactive simulation technology and others.
The meeting, held under His Highness Sheikh Hamdan’s capacity as Chairman of the Supreme Space Council, underscores the UAE’s commitment to building a globally competitive space sector. Startups praised the country's supportive ecosystem and laid out plans for further growth and contribution to national goals.
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan highlighted the long-term value of investing in future-forward tech and reaffirmed the UAE’s ambition not just to keep pace with global advancements, but to lead them. Taking to social media, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan said, “Our goal is not merely to follow global developments, but to become a leader in shaping the future of space exploration and contribute to human progress”.
