In a move to make hiring smoother and faster, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has introduced a digital degree verification system for private sector workers. The initiative, launched in partnership with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, allows employers to electronically verify qualifications through MoHRE’s digital platforms or service centres.

The service currently applies to workers holding degrees from outside the UAE, specifically at skill levels one to four, and will soon be expanded to include degrees issued within the country. Skill levels one to four include writing professionals, technicians and professionals in scientific, technical and humanitarian fields as well as legislators, managers and business executives.
The goal of this new digital system is to reduce paperwork, speed up work permit processes, and ensure accuracy in hiring, all while supporting the UAE’s vision for digital transformation and zero bureaucracy.
Officials say the streamlined system will not only make it easier for businesses to hire the right talent, but also improve collaboration between public and private sectors, enhancing the UAE’s status as a leading employment and investment destination.
