Dubai’s public parking operator, Parkin, has announced the introduction of two new designated zones for paid public parking in Mirdif. Drivers will now need to pay for parking in the neighbourhood for both on-street and off-street parking under variable parking rates.
The two new zones are Zone 251C for on-street parking, and Zone 251D for off-street parking. Under Parkin's variable parking tariff policy, prices will change based on peak and off-peak hours. Peak hours are from 8am to 10pm and 4pm to 8pm. Off peak hours are from 10am to 4pm and 8pm to 10pm. Parking on Sundays and public holidays remain free of charge.
Here's how the pricing works for the new parking zones in Mirdif:
Zone 251C:
-
Dhs 2 per hour, Dhs 5 for two hours and Dhs 8 for three hours, during off-peak hours
-
Dhs 4 per hour, Dhs 8 for two hours and Dhs 12 for three hours, during peak hours
Zone 251D:
-
Dhs 2 per hour, Dhs 4 for two hours and Dhs 5 for three hours, during off-peak hours
-
Dhs 4 per hour, Dhs 8 for two hours and Dhs 12 for three hours, during peak hours
The expansion to Mirdif comes as part of Parkin’s wider efforts to manage public parking availability across Dubai more efficiently. The company also recently introduced parking subscription plans for frequent users across key zones. To read more, check out Connector's story HERE.
