Louvre Abu Dhabi has announced an ambitious and diverse calendar of exhibitions for its 2025-26 season, bringing together historical treasures and contemporary artistic voices from across the world.

Kicking off in September this year, the season opens with 'Mamluks: Legacy of an Empire', a deep exploration of the powerful Mamluk dynasty that ruled for over two and a half centuries, and its wide-reaching cultural influence. The exhibition will feature a curated selection of objects and an exploration of Mamluk's diverse social and economic connections.

In October, the fifth edition of Louvre Abu Dhabi Art Here 2025 and the Richard Mille Art Prize, will highlight the works of contemporary artists from the GCC, Japan, and the wider Middle East and North Africa region, under the theme 'Shadows', examining the interplay of light and dark through monumental, site-specific works. The winner of the prestigious art prize will be announced in December 2025.

In January 2026, the museum will present 'Picasso, the Figure', a major exhibition in partnership with the Musée national Picasso-Paris and France Museums. It will explore Pablo Picasso’s evolution in portraying the human form, featuring iconic paintings, sculptures, and drawings spanning the early 1900s to his later years. Key works include 'Woman with a Mandolin' and 'Portrait of a Seated Woman' from Louvre Abu Dhabi’s collection, as well as 'Woman Sitting in Front of the Window' from the Paris museum.

The upcoming season also includes immersive experiences, educational programmes, and public events, reinforcing Louvre Abu Dhabi’s mission to foster cross-cultural dialogue and celebrate artistic expression across civilisations and time periods.
