In a landmark move to boost social welfare and family stability, Abu Dhabi has launched 14 integrated housing projects across the emirate. The projects were approved by His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi.

The projects will deliver 35,000 housing benefits over the next five years, including 26,000 residential units and 9,000 land plots, with a total investment of Dhs 82.7 billion.

Alongside the massive infrastructure rollout, a number of reforms were also introduced to enhance the housing loan system. Citizens will now benefit from a community support subsidy that will deduct significant amounts from loans, extended repayment period of up to thirty years to ease monthly instalments and flexible repayment terms based on the income of the beneficiaries.

To further support low-income citizens, a deferred-payment home purchase loan has been launched for Emiratis aged 25 to 45. Those above 45 will be eligible for ready-built home grants, ensuring suitable housing options for all age groups.

The sweeping initiative aligns with Abu Dhabi’s broader vision of sustainable urban development, while reinforcing the leadership’s commitment to the wellbeing of UAE nationals.
