Dubai drivers can soon pay for fuel as effortlessly as they pass through toll gates, thanks to a new partnership between Salik and ENOC Group.
The two companies are rolling out an innovative system that lets motorists pay for fuel using their Salik e-wallet, with no need for cards, cash, apps or even tapping a phone. When drivers pull into participating ENOC stations, cameras will scan the vehicle’s number plate and automatically deduct the fuel cost from the linked Salik account, just like passing a toll gate.
This smart payment solution is powered by plate recognition technology, already used by Salik at locations like Dubai Mall and Dubai Marina Mall, Souq Al Bahar, Dubai Harbour, Miracle Garden, Marina Walk and others for parking, and is now being extended to over 127 ENOC service stations across the city.
The new system is designed to speed up fuelling, reduce queuing, and make travel more seamless. With just a simple fill-up and drive-off experience, the days of fumbling for your wallet at the pump may soon be over.
Officials from Salik and ENOC noted that this is part of a broader digital mobility strategy, aimed at integrating everyday services with effortless payment tools. Technical rollouts are ongoing, with a phased city-wide expansion in the works.
